Dr. Bruce Kallou is a highly skilled, dual board-certified foot and ankle surgeon, recognized as one of the top podiatric specialists in the Bingham Farms, Southfield, Livonia, and Novi areas. Certified by both the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM), Dr. Kallou is committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered foot and ankle care.

Dr. Kallou completed his surgical residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, a renowned center of excellence for complex foot and ankle conditions. His extensive training covered foot and ankle trauma, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, pediatric lower extremity conditions, sports medicine and injury prevention, and diabetic limb salvage and wound care. His leadership and dedication were recognized when he was selected as Chief Resident during his final year of training.

In addition to his surgical training at Loyola, Dr. Kallou is one of the few surgeons in the region trained in Regenerative Peripheral Nerve Interface (RPNI), a cutting-edge technique used to manage nerve injuries and chronic pain. This advanced approach allows him to provide innovative care for patients suffering from neuromas, nerve damage, and post-surgical pain syndromes.

A Michigan native, Dr. Kallou grew up in the area and always knew he wanted to give back to his community. After graduating from Avondale High School, he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Oakland University, followed by his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.

Dr. Kallou is passionate about helping patients overcome foot and ankle trauma, nerve injuries, and sports-related conditions, utilizing cutting-edge surgical and regenerative techniques to restore function and mobility. He is also deeply committed to preventing diabetic complications, helping patients maintain healthy feet and avoid amputation. Whether treating elite athletes, weekend warriors, or individuals with chronic conditions, Dr. Kallou prioritizes advanced, personalized care to get patients back on their feet.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kallou enjoys staying active at his local gym, following current events, and is a diehard Detroit sports fan. A lover of great food, he frequently explores Detroit’s restaurant scene and even makes the occasional trip back to Chicago just for the culinary experience. Dr. Kallou married the love of his life, Arjan, in October 2018. He aLeo enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Growing up in the area, Dr. Kallou always knew he would return to service the community where he grew up. He graduated from Avondale High School and knew he wanted to be a doctor from a young age. He attended Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology
